The Kiss
Hand-carved limestone, palm fronds, tumbleweed, and limestone dust from the carving of the work
A contemporary reclaiming of Brancusi’s The Kiss sculpture in a genderless abstracted form, the work references both two body’s embracing and the female body, interjecting a feminine perspective into the masculine artist’s work. The work is a symbol of new life, regeneration, and sexual liberation.
